Performs Human Resources Related duties at the administrative level. May carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: payroll, benefits, employee relations, new hire orientation, employment, labor relations, worker’s compensation, unemployment, leave administration. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for carrying out a variety of duties including but not limited to those listed below:
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries on HR policies and procedures. Maintain high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information. Make photocopies; mail, scan and email documents; and perform other clerical functions related to human resources. Conduct background checks on new hires. Manages all aspects of employee benefits. Deals with employee relation issues. Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic knowledge of Vermont State and Federal labor laws.
